Steven Ross, President

Steven Ross has been an active private equity investor since the 1990s and is President of Squire Ridge Company, LLC, a Cleveland-based holding company that acquires micro-cap market niche manufacturing, value-added distribution and select service companies in the Midwest. Responsibilities include investment firm management, establishing investment strategy, identifying acquisition opportunities, executing investment transactions and management of portfolio companies.

Prior to founding Squire Ridge Company, Steve was a General Partner and Managing Director of MCM Capital Partners, L.P., a Cleveland-based private equity firm, where he spent over 15 years. At MCM Capital Partners, Steve was responsible for the sourcing and execution of investment transactions and management of portfolio companies. Prior to joining MCM Capital Partners, Steve spent five years at The Bank of New York as a Vice President in the U.S. Commercial Banking Sector. Steve has served on the board of a number of privately held businesses including Allegheny Performance Plastics (thermoplastic injection molding), Dutchland Plastics (engineered rotationally molded products), OMCO Corporation (metal forming), Primary Packaging (specialty packaging), ESSCO (floor care distributors), Cole Information Services (actionable market data) and StyleCraft (home accessories).

Steve also believes in giving back to the community. His passions include children, healthcare, music and education.  He is involved in numerous civic activities including serving on the Board of Trustees for the Cleveland Clinic SouthPointe Hospital, the Leadership Council for Cleveland Clinic’s Childrens Hospital, the Board of Trustees for Hawken School, the Musical Arts Association and The Human Fund. Additionally, he serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for Boston University’s School of Management and the President’s Visiting Committee at Case Western Reserve University.

Steve received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Boston University.

Tom Richmond is the former President of The Little Tikes Company, a $500 million multi-national retailer, manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, innovative children’s products.  At The Little Tikes Company, Mr. Richmond is credited with resurrecting The Little Tikes Company from a distressed asset previously owned by Rubbermaid into a profitable $500 million global branded products company with an e-commerce business in excess of $100MM.

Mr. Richmond brings to Squire Ridge Company over 25 years of senior executive experience in general management in B2B and B2C companies.  Mr. Richmond has had P&L experience at numerous manufacturing companies that have ranged in size from single plant businesses generating $20 million in annual sales to multi-plant companies with global operations generating over $500 million in annual sales.

Mr. Richmond has held senior General Management, marketing, manufacturing and engineering leadership positions at numerous businesses including Berry Plastics, Continental Sprayers, Silgan Holdings, HPC Industries, and American National Can.  His past experience also includes supply chain and logistics, product design, quality and purchasing.

Mr. Richmond is a graduate of Columbia University (Master of Science), New Jersey Institute of Technology (Mechanical Engineering), and New York University (Executive MBA).  Additionally, he attended the US Army War College and the General Electric Management Development Institute.


Jacqui_retJacqulin Rini, Business Development & Executive Assistant

Jacqui joined Squire Ridge Company in 2014 and manages all of the marketing and administration responsibilities of the firm. Jacqui utilizes her accomplished communication and interpersonal skills to manage the firm’s intermediary relationships and assists with sourcing investment opportunities from the firms investment banking and buy-side intermediary community. 

Prior to joining Squire Ridge Company, Jacqulin spent over ten years in the sales industry. Her most recent position held was with LifeShare Community Blood Services as a Donor Recruitment Representative. She was responsible for relationship marketing, growing a new territory in a highly competitive area as well as event coordinating and follow-up with clients.  Jacqulin also held a Pharmaceutical Sales position with GlaxoSmithKline, specializing in cardiology, dermatology and the respiratory therapeutic classes. 

Jacqui received her Bachelor of Arts in Business and Organizational Communication with a Public Relations focus from The University of Akron. Additionally, Jacqui earned a minor in Sales and Marketing Management.
